She had a long way to go. The sun moved closer to the west mountain. In the distance, she could see the Animal City. It made her fly faster.
By the time she reached the city, the sun had almost set. Looking into the distance, she saw the rabbit closing the registration book. She shouted, “Wait. Please wait.”
All the animals noticed the nightingale’s scream. Nightingale sat on the ground. She was sweating and almost out of breath. Between her breaths she was able to say, “One sparrow….came from….the other side of….the sea and wanted to sign up for….the Olympic flying….games.”
She showed the sparrow’s bloody feather and was so tired, she fainted. The sparrow’s name though, was the last one on the contestant list.
