Sparrow said nothing. She stood up and walked out of the guard’s room. Outside, she saw that there were other dogs guarding the border. She was thirsty so she asked one of them where the nearest stream was.
She couldn’t fly with her wounded wing. Guard Dog had wrapped a white cloth around it. She went to the nearby stream to drink. The stream was a nice area with a lot of plants and trees. She felt so very sad.
Suddenly, the bushes on the opposite side of the stream began to move. A deer appeared. As soon as he noticed Sparrow, he said, “Hi my friend. Why are you upset?” Sparrow looked up and said, “Hi, yes I am sad. I have come all the way from the other side of the sea to attend the Olympic Games. The border guard dog has told me that today is the last day of registration. My wing is injured and I cannot make it in time.”
Deer said, “So this is why you are upset. You should not be sad. Sparrow replied, “Oh, if you only knew what I have gone through.” Deer, wanting to help, said, “My friend, do not be upset. Rest here and I will go and register your name for you.”
